wow, i forgot about that
fun times, wow existed but it was for kids, cause , graphics and characters maxxed at level 70, im pretty sure the og wow was just a gui on a mud engine
that specific mud has 3 151 level remorts,
err 2 remorts , the 3rd is forever beta
"how did you learn c "
your probably right about wow. ive tryed to go back but eehhhh i just torutre my self with star citizen now adays
i ironically enough built my current rig to play world of warships in 4k.... i got the job cause my dad was the building engineer of a school and one day after high school i went to his work for the ride home or whatever.... while waiting for him there was a pile of old 486s bought on lot from the old irs building for the furniture and they were just trashing the 486s. so they were literally in a pile of in the still being built middle school conversion from old yale lock factory to school blah blah blah.... fun times , i developed a very wide skill set. i must of filled a 50 yard construction dumpster with 14 inch crts. properly for the time, of course. any who, while i was bored i started stripping the 486s for eco recycling (hippie kid) , then managed to assemble a full system, (this was like a month of just bored tinkering) my only experience was apple IIgs in my k-8 and powermac g3s in high school. i absolutely had no fkn clue what i was doing . my dad finally came over when i got it to boot, and was like , how the f did you get that to work. i explained it to him and he suddenly realized i wasn't a failure. he then went to his boss, (my old k-8 principle) and brought him to see what i had done. my principle textbook principle skinner, just watched el barto, full 16 goth punk spikes in school before uniforms, probably the reason for metal detectors but that was probably the guns, bad things happen here (lol) columbine days , build a computer, with absolutely no training. now its even funnier when i think about it, my dad building a wall at the time. came back covered in plaster and paint. can you do that again.
so i said yah i can even get it to boot windows with the cdrom i borrowed from that computer over there. he went and got the computer teacher. who saw what i was doing ..... asked me how. i explained. and it booted win 95, they asked me how many i could save and i said most if we buy new parts , about half with out buying parts, and i can double the ram and storage in most cases....
my dads jaw dropped. i just put 2 more computers in each class room of my little brothers fledgling charter school. out fo boredom mind you im a drop out in full rebellion stage .
needless to say they talked , a couple days later, i was designing a computer lab on dells website i said 1k a node would give us a really nice useable computer.... my bid apprently undercut every other contracter, and i did it without knowing i was bidding, or what bidding was.... and so boss told them to order it told me i was hired and next thing you know im converting the atrium of a mental institutution into a alternative cyber school for high school age kids. I fielded one of the first cyber schools over 56k modems while we waited for verizon to run the fiber from the hospital y2k was still a thing.... thats me, full goth, past security, in a mental institution. i was toned back for work.
What a time to be alive, then well 2001 happened and i met a girl online and joined the army cause her boyfriend became a ranger and their story inspired me to shut up nut up and before i talk shit on the war, put my nads on the line. i never got to thank them. i still keep touch with those gamers i met. they helped me through a really dark time in my life. and i always try to remember there are others trapped out there , like i was , who;s only solace.... was that escape, it was free , because i was poor, it wasn't easy
so i rose to the challenge built a network for me and my freinds to play on, then answered the call of duty. gg my brothers... f for the ones that didn't make it back., warriors never die, unless they are forgotten, and as their brother, its my job never to forget them>>> and so i share this for anyone.... for any reason... hang in there... someone loves you, you may not know it.... holy shit, people may be dealing with you .... and you may not know it... sometimes they see the love you are projecting.... without you even realziing it... my lesson learned.... from that picture.... grace
