I am currently working on a new PC, and am using pcpartpicker to check for compatibility. It says that I must purchase an adapter to plug the front IO USB 3.2 into the MOBO 2.0 header. I was of the understanding that these were backwards compatible, and that the front IO would just run at 2.0 speeds instead. Am I correct in assuming that, or am I completely off here?
