its about the cheapest thing u will ind that doesnt have integrated graphics.
the 3050 mobile tho is really sketchy. it really is not comparable to the 3050 in the way other mobile cards are to their desktop variant.
think of it more like a 3030 mobile. it performs straight up worse than a 970 for example.
and most of the time it is even power trottled so its even worse.
tho, at this price point, u wont get anything better. and it is stil la workign card for 1080p gaming for most titles.
my GF was in a similar situation and we got her a laptop with the 3050 mobile as well. ark survival evolved runs smooth, fall guys etc.
i was running GTA 5 withaa 750 on decent settings without any lags. and the 750 definitely is worse than the 3050 mobile, even when power throtteld.
if u can get ANY better card than the 3050 mobile for 10-15% more, thats worth it, but usually that doesnt happen below 700 USD
just dont expect to play AAA titles or get max settings in modern releases.
but it will be able to handle the vast majority of games
