  1. since ur in finland, definitely check prices on national comparison sites. pcpp is great to check compatibility, but they often miss a lot of offers.
a lot of times u find stuff up to 30% cheaper or pcpp sais a product is not available while there are multiple shops that have it.
  2. i guess ur on a 1080p 120-240Hz monitor?
  3. how tight is your budget/would you be comfortable spending ~200€ more to be set until at least 2028, if not 2030?
  4. just right now, u can save ~10€ by going with a teamgroup MP33 NVME, and u can most likely save 10-30€ on the case with basically only the asthetics changing, depending on whats available in finland.
  5. do u actually need a b550? i will skip am5 and will not upgrade from my b450 board.
    could save anotehr 20+ €
#

same principal, use estonian national comparison sites

#

outside of canada and USA its always worth checking

#

if u can, waiting until february will definitely pay off, since right now prices are high due to christmas and thanksgiving and there is so much CPUs and GPUs that will be released on the CES, which is early january

#

~2 weeks after that prices will have plummitted for all those "old" parts

#

should be fine but often comes with big delivery costs

#

used markets for GPUs is great

#

i mean u could also get a used GPU and put it in your old system and get the rest next year

#

how long have u been using the GPU u have the problems with?

#

u have a friend that has a GPu just to test if thats the problem?

#

try to ask around, maybe there are estonian PC forums or discord servers, someone with a test bench might be not that far away and u can test every component

#

understandable

#

just saying i wouldnt be surprised if u wait until after CES u get the same parts at least 20% cheaper

#

if ur lucky u might get below 500€

#

if ur thinking about upgrading ur current system, u should confirm all the other parts are working 😄

#

as i said, if u know all the other parts are good, u can get a GPU

#

and then buy the rest after CES

#

all good

#

im also planning and asking people. we are always happy to share knowledge 😊

#

oktober/november is just always the worst time to buy pc parts

#

CES. so january and february are where rpices plummit the most

#

then june-august they are lowest

#

and then increase again due to holidays

#

which is where we are eright now

#

and also look for any reoccuring habits of ur pc crashing

#

my old pc was always crashing when just 1 CPU core was used

#

so i just always had some game open i nthe background so it doesnt crash

#

had like 800 hours ina free2play shooter that i maybe actually played 10 hours myself xD

#

yes

#

mine still has stock paste and its 5 years old now

#

but temps usually dont cause a pc to crash like yours did

#

im far from a troubleshooting expert

#

but it might be anything

#

maybe u can also find a PC store that can offer testing for just a few bucks

#

always depends, in every country

#

there are always ppl who want to scam u and nice guys

#

if u present urself knowledgeable that will always help

#

so they know they cant get away with everything

#

u could even say something like ur waiting for prices to drop due to CES and want to check what parts are failing

#

to save money overall

#

that will already tell ur not new to the topic

#

also ask for a price upfront

#

dont come with ur pc, just say u have one at home, tell that CES story and ask how much it costs to check ur parts

#

(and describe what your issue is ofc) xD

#

also a lot of the "scammers" might not really try to scam but just take the opportunity if it arises.
sometimes ur dishwasher or car breaks and u have to deal with a lot of costs u were never planning to have and in such a situation many people if they know they have an unknowledgable customer would try to sell more than the customer needs.

especially in these cases when u make clear what service u want and not be open to all of what they offer, they will be much less liekly to sell u something u made clear upfront u dont want

#

u should add that to the trouble shooting post

#

have you used DDU yet?

#

idk actually

#

was less about the up to date but making sure they were isntalled correctly

#

no corrupted files or anything

#

as i said, i have next to no knowledge abotu troubleshooting.
lets hope u get an answer soon
