XMP is not guaranteed to run at the rated speed specified on the RAM itself, especially in your case where you're running an old 10th gen chip and a motherboard that officially only supports up to 2666MHz on that CPU.

I wouldn't say that, the base clock is only 2400MHz so enabling XMP does seem to give you a bit of a boost on the memory speed.
However, the performance difference is likely almost negligible.

Personally I'd recommend you check other factors out first, such as installing the latest drivers for your system and making sure your CPU isn't overheating under load as both can cause stutter.

Basically it's a question of which one is more stable for your system, since XMP1 and XMP2 have different timings. Since XMP1 is running at the max officially supported speed, that's the one I would go with.

That could be powersupply related, it would also explain your stuttering.

If you have a spare unit to test with, it would be worth a shot.
