#Currently trading in my Alienware RTX 3090 for a Nitro+ RX 7900 XTX, and I have a Corsair RM850x

Also, since it is an OEM 3090, I'm given to understand that it's worth a lot less than say, an MSI or EVGA version of the card, since it came with an Alienware prebuilt. But is a valuation of RM2200 (~ US$ 530) ridiculous? I'm also trading it in with a very rusted-over GTX 1060 3GB, which is being valued at RM100, or less than 25 bucks.
If it is a really bad valuation, I'm not entirely opposed to it, since this was a card that my grandfather left me and it's been well-treasured across a couple of generations. I'm just trying not to get ripped off 😅
An rtx 3090 and it’s been left over multiple generations? How does that happen? It’s not that old of a card. No criticism here, just curious!
He bought it a few years ago, came with an Aurora R12, I think. And he passed away this January, so I got it since I'm the eldest grandchild
I'm not ashamed to say that it looked really ugly and I left it sitting in his parts pile for 6 months before my dumbass realised what the alien symbol meant
Ah that makes sense. That also explains Alienware rtx 3090. Your grandfather must’ve been a very cool guy!
Yeah, he was really good with PCs, taught me the basics of PC building too. Miss him lots
But now with the 50 series NVIDIA cards coming out, I'm starting to look towards AMD more, so... just thinking it's about time to upgrade
I'm also looking at the Gigabyte UD1000GM ATX PSU, but I'm not quite sure if it'll fit in my case (Montech 1000 Lite Black)
Ugh, looks like I'm just gonna have to change out my PC case entirely...
