DDR5 will have a word with you
o no
your cpu is dying btw
gimi a sec
did it come with the issue?
OOOOO
i was right kinda
if you do not tighten the contact frame correctly it dose not give enugh pressure to allow one of the ram channels to work right
not good
it ded
i have way too many and you can just send a new message in this thread
you can try and use the old frame
on the same mobo
btw can you send a pic of the cpu socket?
never
jk
it is, i am trying to find the pinout to make sure its the ram channel 2 but i still have no clue but i do know it aint suppost to do that
i hate the bot
your cpu is dying if you have any way to return it you should
ask who made your pc if they are willing to accept the cpu
back or even the pc
ofc the mobo might be an issue but the current issue with intel is just too bad
warranty?
i suspect nobody is willing to buy one due to the current issues
if you are willing yes and you have the money
wair 7 days
then you have a cpu faster in gaming and most work station tasks then the 14900KS on old bios and stuff
RYZEN 9000
the 9950X is excepted to NUKE any intel consumer cpu
while not nuking itself
yup
zen 5
its amd so even the most basic with a ok VRM can handel a 9950X
btw you do not need a contact frame for amd so its gonna be a bit harder to damage but i will not jinx it
i do have to ask why you did use a contact frame
what temp was your cpu on?
idle thats normal
thats super good for a intel cpu
700 usd
so its not cheap
you can try and use the pc you have now but it might already be dead and it will only be until later this month when the "fix" is going to come out so it will get even worse if your pc is on
nah
it has issues
for gaming go with a 7800X3D for workstation go for a 7950X
it will also give better gaming performance then the 14900KF
ye
just before you buy anything https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVdmK1UGzGs

Intel has finally published a statement about the instability of its Raptor Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs in the 13th & 14th Gen families of CPUs. The Intel 14900K, 13900K, and their alternative CPUs in the same generations now have a confirmed set of issues. Intel has...
just watch it
oof
do you have buckets of money?
as the cpu is most likely going to work for a long while but you may see more and more game errors and you might have lost a bit of performance from it.
ye
intel cpu
i have been saying this for a while now
country
amd or nvidia
this looks to be a good mobo for cheaper
https://ro.pcpartpicker.com/product/cPNYcf/gigabyte-b650-gaming-x-ax-v2-atx-am5-motherboard-b650-gaming-x-ax-v2
i have not heard it but if you do not wish to go for that one i found another
gimi a sec as i am reading up on the mobo
this looks to be super good
and since its on am5 you can upgrade to next gen X3D cpues when they release
amd chipset
A620
b650
b650e
X670
X670E
yes
btw do you have the box you got from the custom pc builder?
did you keep the box
the box you found the wifi antennas and screws and other stuff
ye its a ok mobo with nothing special to it, but it can handel a 7950X or a 9950X
do you know what cooler you have as intel and amd cooler mounting is different
ok just had to make sure
its deffo overkill for the 7800X3D as it sips power but a nice AIO will always ofc look nice
ye it is a big issue so big that it started to kill it self
welp since the mobo is missing only ram channel 2 you can sell it for a good bit more then a fully dead one
btw have you had any strange issues like game crashes or other strange issues on the now taken apart pc?
i am not too surprised but i suspect you have lost a good bit of performance but you can try to send it in to intel
and i suspect what you do with the pc it needs to be stable and always working
before you buy i do just want to make sure you fully understand that for now the pc works but their have been MAJOR reports of issues with the i9 14900KF and other high end intel 13.14th gen cpues
it will still give more gaming performance
a lot of them too rn
ryzen is just stable have been running a 7800X3D for a year now and have had nothing but a good time
luckily the older parts are not too hard to sell used ofc for less then new parts but its better then a 100% loss
no problem i am always happy to help
its a standoff
its a non standard one
just try and find a GPU Support Bracket
do not get anything that has LM in it
btw the cooler comes with thermal paste
if you can find it yes but remember your liquid cooler comes with thermal paste
but ye if you can find it its a good thermal thing
no problem and also look a bit close as you can see most of it is just 60C so just find anything around their and it will performe well
ye it is good
no worries
the 7800X3D is way better
make sure its the 7800X3D your watching
the 7800X3D is the best gaming cpu for most games
as the other cpues have issues with stuff so in some games the 7900X3D can perform like a r5 7600X
for am5 you do not need it as amd actually make good cpues that can be cooled so their is next to no reson
its not worth it
yes as modern thermal paste is non conductive so extra spillige is a non issue
