I ordered a CF/SD card adapter to transfer all my photos from an old Canon EOS 7D DSLR to my windows 11 computer, but when I plug in the USB adapter into any windows device it does not show up in windows explorer. When i first plugged it in, it was detected and I was able to view and move the photos around like normal, but now I can not even see the device listed in my drives in explorer. I found it is listed in my connected devices in device manager and windows settings, yet I am unable to interact with it in any useful way to fix it. The cards work fine (i used both a CF and standard SD card) and am unsure what to do.

Maybe reader just dead. Do you have any other ones or friends either one to borrow and try.
