guys for the past few days my wifi on my pc has been like shit.

however, on phone and on every other device the Internet has been really good.

so I tried changing the adapter to different USB ports. but no luck.

I've attached the usb wifi adapter I use. I'm pretty sure that my adapter is gone right?

it doesn't work on Linux too, I have arch dual boot and it doesn't work there.

Usually, these cheap wifi adapters won't work under linux due to a chipset that has no native driver. I do see a driver on the TP link website, so you could test with that under linux. As far as the network performance of your PC: It could be the wifi stick, but a load of other stuff as well. Could be interference, broken drivers, programs that are eating your bandwidth etc etc.

I would start with trying the adapter in a different device to see if the problem persists, close to your wifi router. If it's still acting up, the device is probably at fault. If not, it's either configuration or software

the thing is, I've owned this for the past 3 years and it's been really well in both OSs

I'm pretty sure that the wifi adapter is faulty as I've kept the pc near my router and I've used mobile hot-spot too.

it's not Linux in which it isn't working , it wasn't working on windows too
