leaden quarry
Friend of mine got this old Acer Laptop, Acer One 14 Z476 I3-6006U 4Gigs 1TB 5400.
TLDR: at first it won't boot unless charged, so I took out the battery and tried to boot with charger only it boots normally, I put the battery again it boots but sometimes will shut off randomly, took out the battery but it won't boot.
Also sometimes it will just boots on its own but then shut off. Is it the BATTERY or the laptop gave up?
A couple weeks ago it can't boot, sometime it will boot but after a couple min it will shut off, what I think is it need a new battery. But I'm still not sure since I haven't take a look at it since I'm in different city
Today I got my hands on it, I decided to take out the battery and tried to turn it with power from charger only, it boots up so I thought "HAHA this grandpa need a new battery" and ordered a new one.
But as they say "Curiosity killed the cat" I decided to put back the battery and tried to boot it, it boots up normally. so I took out the battery again and tried with charger only, It won't fully boots, POST then shut off just like when boots with battery only. and sometimes it will randomly boots up too
I was dumbfounded, is it really the battery or is this the way grandpa said I had enough!
please help me while I still can cancel the battery order
