Run CMD as admin then do the following commands

#

Sfc /scannow

#

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

#

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

#

you can also see what exactly went wrong by going to the event viewer and looking for criticals

I mean sometimes windows have very high usage on start up

I have run into that issue before

#

closing steam on task manager solved it

#

oh?

#

there's a thing for steam where it writes to your disks continually on download, this is like an opt in feature though do you have that turned on or remember turning it on by any chance?

#

I think it's called indexing options?

#

#

that's the restore

lean yacht
#

candid skiff
#

lean yacht
#

#

umm not that one

#

on steam itself

#

candid skiff
#

no that's in windows not steam

lean yacht
#

oh mb

candid skiff
#

what this allows you to do is have a faster install bc it's not stopping to take note of shit

#

pause and unpause

lean yacht
#

you probably have to restart steam again

candid skiff
#

Download settings looks fine
