I've had my Verbatim vi550 S3 for about 6 months. Yesterday when I wanted to load up FS22 the game didn't launch for a good 2 minutes and even after that took a really long time to load over 15 minutes a game that at most took 3 minutes to load. And sure enough when I looked at task manager it showed 100% utilization even at the smallest of writes/reads see image for examples. So far I have changed the SATA cable that the SSD is connected with and done a windows scan of the drive, however that didn't show any issues crystal disk info also show that the drive is in good health and doesn't show any problems. The drive also has ~15% space left so that isn't a problem. So I was wondering if there is anything else I could do myself before turning to verbatim support of a potential replacement (I really don't want to do that tho because I don't have any place i could back my stuff up to without having to delete and reinstall a lot of stuff later)
#SSD speeds dropped off a cliff after 6 months.

Its not so much of a problem with ssd's as hdd's but when a drive is near capacity it slows down
sadly that isn't the problem 😦 even now with 264GB of free space it still slow
Only other thing could be an update of a game/your system
Unfortunately that is also a no. I updated my bios, including all the drivers, and have the latest windows update installed. Last thing before I'm out of ideas is reinstalling windows, and reformatting the drive. I have 0 clue if that can actually help though.
Is it trimming?
it sure is
Feel like your joking, and legitamtly don't understand any of that
Pretty sure most people advise keeping 25% of an ssd open to get maximum speeds. Could be wrong, but thought it was something like that.
