Do you have any manufacturer-provided software installed?
Alright, because those can lead to weird behaviour. Does this happen with all games?
When you are playing, do you have any other software open other than Steam, the game and Discord?
Okay, that is what I expected
Okay, any anti-virus software installed?
ohh
That might be it
Any other than that?
Well then I'd blame wallpaper engine tbh
I'd recommend trying after closing it to see if that helps
Since you have updated your BIOS and it's just in games, I am out of ideas, especially since I am a Linux user
Inexplicable behaviour usually points to PSU, RAM or Motherboard. I would run Memtest64 to see if there are problems with your RAM. It could very well be your motherboard though as well. What is your PSU and how old is it?
What exact model? It could be it, as some games (especially modern ones) can cause a power surge when closing. Antec isn't a particularly reputable PSU manufacturer
Hhm. I'll have a look
Ohh okay, that one. No that one is really good. There are some cheaper 1000W PSU made by Antec that have a tendency to blow up / be literal hot garbage
