I recently noticed something on my mom's phone where the bottom left corner of the screen splitting from the frame, and I can see the backlight from inside the split area. The screen itself had been replaced three months ago because the old screen was f-ed from water damage. And every time I press down on the split area, even the slightest pressure will make the whole screen glitch a bit.

I'm speculating that this was a botched repair, but the replacement screen itself looked fine during the first few months. Or could be a classic case of fall damage? What do y'all think?

I just realized something...

Could it be... the battery expanding???

is the entire screen being lift up or is it just a part of it
if the entire screen is being lifted, this can hint towards the battery

if its the battery it would be wierd that the technician didnt catch it 3 monts ago

The repair shop could've used a low quality adhesive, that just doesn't stick well enough
