Hey all, I've got a weird issue mounting a monitor to a monitor arm that's driving my gf crazy. Pls help.

My girlfriend bought this ultrawide monitor some time ago and asked if it could be desk mounted. I said sure and bought this monitor arm to mount it. They seemed like they should be compatible on paper, but apparently it isn't so simple.

It seems the monitor uses a non-standard VESA mount? The included pics show the back of the monitor with the included stand removed, the mounting side of the included stand, and the VESA plate of the monitor arm we purchased (worth noting the plate looks different than adverstised..). The square plate simply does not fit the round back of the monitor. I can get measurements if need be.

Is there some way we could get this to work and be reliable? I don't want to do a crappy job and have her monitor suddenly fall to its untimely death.

Everything I saw online said to contact DecoGear for an adapter or something, but we've had little luck. We contacted DecoGear and they... tried to help? They sent over a couple of odd brackets that don't seem to fit in any reasonable way into the back of the monitor. Still holding out hope that they actually send us the right part soon.
