Hey all - cleaning my old desktop I use as a server early this week and when trying to turn back on, started getting D6 error from my ASRock Z77 motherboard. I know this is a video card related error and all the troubleshooting I could find talks about reseating cards, ensuring power connected, etc. The thing is I get this error with the external (GTX770) GPU installed, as well as with it out and just using the onboard chipset's GPU. Effectively tells me it's not the video per se or it's a hell of a coincidence both died the same time (different HDMI ports).
I've tried reseating everything, resetting CMOS (button on back of box and manually by pulling out battery for 10 mins, external GPU in 2 different PCI slots). Is the GPU possible dead or dying? What else could cause this D6 error but not really be video card related? Super appreciative of any help!
