I currently have a gen 3 ssd in my gen 4 m.2 slot. If I move it to the gen 3 slot, and put my new ssd in the gen 4 slot, can I clone it to the gen 4 ssd? The gen 4 ssd comes with cloning software.

Yes, but why would you want to do that

@safe agate don’t want to buy new windows key, and do not want to have old ssd as boot drive

You don’t need to buy a new windows key. Check the activation page in settings to see your windows key

I will do that

#

I don’t see it anywhere

“Activation state”

#

Don’t send a screenshot of the key tho!

Ofc lol

#

It doesn’t show me the actual key

#

But says it’s linked

#

So if I sign in will I not have to reactivate on new ssd?

safe agate

Yeah

#

It’ll automatically activate

#

And I recommend against cloning

Thanks for ur help

I won’t clone then, and if it’s not activated which it should be, I’ll just buy another cheap 10$ key
