Don’t use that PC anymore
“While unscrewing its screws it suddenly shut off” what the fuck
You shut the computer down before you take it apart
This is why. You definitely short circuited and destroyed it - if you’re smelling the “magic smoke”. RIP
so just opening a computer while it's on won't kill it, you're right. But you're leaving all the electrical contacts live -- so all the thousands of little silver/gold spots on the board where chips are mounted basically, if you touched 2 of them together it's over
Your screwdriver shorted the circuit and either blew your psu or your motherboard.
You are better off getting a new computer.
(Man I miss when laptops had easily replaceable batteries on the outside that you had to remove before being able to repair it.)
Maybe the motherboard has some cables touching those screws or the screws are acting as ground?
That's really wierd?
Have you messed with the laptop before?
Or had someone repair it?
One of those times you must have done a bad job ensuring everything's connected properly before closing
Well now you know for next time.
Turn it off and wait a while
Sucks to be you Op.
Make sure you dispose of the battery correctly
Well gl.
