I have a pc with an i9-9900k and Radeon 7800XT. I'm looking to upgrade to AM5 and am trying to decide if the 7800X3D is worth the extra 90ish dollars im seeing it go for over the 7700X when paired with a 7800XT at 1440p gaming?

The 3D v-cache is very situational. Only certain games use it. Its a good chip. Whether or not its worth an extra 90 dollars is up to you really.

In my experience the biggest difference is in simulation and strategy games.

i guess it depends how long you will use the chip
