I am trying to connect my laptop to my vga monitor, i am using a vga to hdmi adaptor but still nothing shows up, i know the hdmi cable works and i know the vga port works as i have tested them.
Any ideas what i shoud try now?

Does the adapter really convert VGA to HDMI or does it convert HDMI to VGA? If it does VGA to HDMI, you've got the wrong adapter
