This is my first build made in 2017.(Roughly)
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/6QRgsh

My CPU temps is hitting 90-100°C idle. Gaming tops up to 100°C then shuts off. I have changed the thermal paste a couple of months ago and it brought the temps down to 70-80°C idle. Gaming is the same.

Is my problem with my AiO as it has been 6 years. AiO temp reaches below 60°C. Pump is still running.

Or thermal paste issue? Would liquid metal be better?

Delid CPU? I am pretty scared to do that as I have never done it.

PC now just turns off after 2mins of running. Even going into BiOS.

Tdp is 91 watt of the 6700K

#

Which is the amounting energy that the ox is giving off to the AIO

#

The AIO is getting older and needs replacement

#

Which AIO do you got?

Corsair h115i

Yeah checked with your link. 240 mm rad , it might just not be powerful enough anymore, as in clogging up or gummed up insides

Actually it is the 280mm

Answer doessnt change

#

Get a new cooler and you will be fine. And Clean out all the dust of your pc , dust is an amazing isolator

Yeah, I am thinking of going to air cooling. No difference than an AiO?

No difference as in go for it, basically get one that’s rated for at least 91tdp

#

No stock coolers

#

The bigger the better most of the times as it has , more metal to guide the heat away

Once I do that, should I reset BiOS settings to default?

Change the fan curve to what you find desired

#

That’s all you should need to do
