I am currently looking for a computer for college. I will be using solidworks and currently have a 14" m2 pro macbook. Will Parallels be able to run engineering software smoothly on parallels? These programs use a fair amount of 3D graphics so I am not sure whether to downgrade to an M1 Pro with 32 gb ram or simply go to a windows laptop. I have done some research and got mixed opinions on people saying it does not work and others saying mac can run windows better than windows itself. Please let me know if Parallels on macbook for engineering software is a good idea or not.
