Linksys Nodes are technically wireless with extra steps, so troubleshooting would be roughly the same.
How far are the nodes from one another?
Do you have anything emitting something regularly in-between them (microwave for example)

All in all, I would just stick with traditional wireless.

You are technically not using Ethernet (apart from connecting to the Linksys node) you are still using wifi. Now granted, the nodes may be more powerful, but unless you notice a problem with regular wifi or you have a specific use case for the nodes you would be better off using regular wifi.
One of the most important things I have learned being in IT for decades is not to over complicate things. Always work on making the simplest solution work first.
