Thanks for all the info!
You'll get way more input & responses if you do the upfront work of parting out a build using PCPartPicker. Folks are way more willing to give criticism that way.

#

There are also pre-made builds on that site which you can use as a starting-off point

#

I think the priorities are a little off there

  • Don't get such an overkill SSD, because you really really don't need that speed for gaming
  • Don't get an HDD, that'll slow down game load times dramatically. Instead, either get a very large boot SSD that isn't a 980pro, or get two cheaper SSDs
  • That motherboard is wild expensive, and I'm betting you don't need all the features on it. Get a cheaper one and use that extra cash to snag a 4080 instead

resolution only affects the gpu mostly so you're fine

#

what games are you looking to play

#

should be fine

#

more than enough prob

#

some games for examples?

cpu - 7600x outperforms the 12600k, doesn't matter much for 4K but this also gives you more room to upgrade in the future, considering AM5 has guaranteed support until 2026

cooler - contender for best aircooler on the market, only $10 more

ssd - nv2 uses qlc flash, has variable hardware, mp44l is a faster, more reliable pick

gpu - there were cheaper models available, they all work the same and all have overbuilt coolers

psu - 750w still leaves plenty of headroom, RM-e 2023 comes with native 12VHPWR so you don't have to use the adapter that comes with your GPU

7800x3d would be a good option too, although the performance increase at 4k only applies to games that like the additional cache (mostly sim games)
