any opinions on what could be done better? Should i have tried to go for 7000 series or maybe even gone down the intel route?
games,(csgo, some triple a titles) some database work, maybe some recording / streaming or editing
What country do they live in
uk 😄
with the spec list above its works out roughly per part in £, cpu : 144, ram 64, mobo 119, cooler 70, ssd 42, 3070 392, psu 99, case 59
arctic liquid freeze 280mm?
You really don't need such a cooler for a 5600x
If it's cheap in UK then maybe it's an okay deal but i'd search for something cheaper
Also i think the 3070 is too powerful for an 5600x, and having a processor bottleneck isn't rly what u would want, but i'm not entirely sure on that part.
liquid freeze 280mm is only £70 when in stock so not all that expensive esp considering the 240mm is a meer £10 cheaper :9
as for bottlenecking im fairly certain that would only really be a minor bottleneck at 1080p no? so assuming hes running 1440 or even 4k and or running a tripple a game this shouldnt be a problem
yeah higher resolutions will use more gpu so it becomes a gpu bottleneck (which is preferable over cpu)
