COMPUTER CANNOT CONNECT TO THE INTERNET

I need help!
My computer randomly decided that it doesn't want to connect to the internet. My wireless adapter can connect to my router but It can't do internet things meanwhile my phone can connect to the same router and it works just fine. At the moment I'm using my phone as a wifi adapter and that can't be a permanent solution

What fix can I do?
My wifi adapter is an Archer T2U Nano

have you checked if your network card is set to use DHCP ?

this smells like it doesn't get an IP from your ISP router

(i'm guessing you're the average home user with only an ISP router)

also, personal laptop, right ? not a work laptop ?

Resolved actually

The internet is down

Apparently someone I know has their hotspot on and my phone connected to it

And since I set my computer's wifi adapter to only connect via 5GHZ, It did not connect to the said hotspot

I never bothered to check what wifi network my phone connected to
