My parents were super cool and bought me a turntable for my birthday a few years ago (Audio Technica AT-LP60XBT) and it has worked totally fine except I recently noticed it's playing just slightly too fast. I have heard there are screws on the bottom to fix this but I don't think they're aligned properly and I don't feel super comfortable taking it apart. I will, if that is what must be done, but I would rather not accidentally break something. Any help much appreciated
#Anyone know anything about turntables??

you might need to record the song and put it in audacity to compare it to a downloaded original
if you're not sure it's playing too fast
I've done that yeah. I also used an app I found that uses your phone's gyroscope
don't know much about turntables, but it's possible it sped up overtime as things got "loose" so it's probably a good idea to try changing the speed
We go over the notorious speed issue with the LP-60. I give a quick tutorial on how to fix the speed problems without sending it into the manufacturer. Please keep in mind if your turntable is still under warranty my fix will void it.
