I have a ASUS TUF B-450 plus gaming board that just will not work with ethernet. I have used 2 ethernet cables, one cat5 and one cat6 (not even sure if that matters), and they both do not transfer any data. Whenever I look on my computer it shows "network cable unplugged" even though it provided power to the orange and green lights on the ethernet port. Am I just forgetting something in the bios, or is my ethernet just bricked?

The NIC can certainly be disabled in BIOS, but you wouldn't see it in Windows if it was. Have you checked Device Manager for errors related to the NIC? I would install the latest AMD platform drivers (Chipset for example) which you can do automaticlly by running the automated driver finder on the AMD website. Then reinstall the NIC drivers from the Asus website, or straight from Realtek if you can dig up the exact model of the adapter.
