#Heard sizzle, mobo and gpu leds flickering even though psu is off.

I know theyre flickering bc of the capacitors in the psu. But the sizzle scares me.
Is my GPU dead? How likely is the rest of my machine dead?

sniff test the components, if it smells of magical electrical blue smoke. probably dead.

After following some advice from a friend who makes electronics this is what I did to fix it.

Turned off PSU
Unplugged PSU
Unplugged things from the wall
Then unplugged anything from back of PC (DP, USB the like)
Waited a min or two
Pressed power
Plugged everything back in
Turned on just fine
