Hello,
Over the past two weeks, I have noticed games that really shouldn't lag start to lag on me with no pervious issues. Upon checking HWM, I realized that the performance cores in my are randomly peaking, going from 40c to 95-100+ C. The weird thing to me is this temp spike will only happen for about three seconds then report normal temps. ICUE does detect the CPU cores getting extremely hot, but does not adjust the fan curve in time, but somehow the tempature drops almost instantly.
These seem to happen at random times with virtually no consistency. This will happen at high load points of games, like multiple animations, and low load points of games. It is also not game specific, as I have tried everything from going to CSS to MS flight sim. I tried to load a couple stress tests to greater understand the issue, but I cannot even open 3d mark without the temps peaking and doing an emergency shutdown.
I have also tried setting extremely aggressive fan curves in ICUE, however it seems like the CPU temps are spiking so quickly ICUE doesn't respond. I have forced updates on the CPU pump incase that was causing the issue, but it is still present.
All drivers are up to date.
When the CPU spikes the GPU doesn't and remains a constant temp.
Edit: I forgot to mention this only is happening to the P cores, the E cores remain consistant at around 40c
