Is this a brand new build?
If so your BIOS version might currently not support the CPU.
Oh, you're in luck, i see a flash bios button. Give me 1 minute
While I do this, get an empty USB drive
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-B550-GAMING-PLUS/support Download the top BIOS [see picture]
Unzip the folder and put it on the flash drive. On the back of the board you will see this USB connector [top left] Put the USB into that one when the file is on it. https://youtu.be/K5aFhNh_u4U?t=173

This happened to me when I got my Ryzen 9 5900x. Turned out to be the BIOS didn't have the correct version.

I put the BIOS on the flash drive and when I pressed the button it flashed for around 5 seconds and then went solid red, it said in the video that it should flash for 5-10 mins so I don’t understand where I went wrong
I did unzip it

open windows partition manager with the USB plugged in and make sure it says Fat32
Enable hidden items and file name extensions in file explorer
Now after making sure the USB drive is Fat32, put your unzipped BIOS file back into it. Rename the BIOS file to MSI.ROM
After this, attempt to flash again.
