When you replaced the battery, did you make sure to get the exact same model?

When a Li battery bulges, it can do a lot of bad stuff. It may have dumped a lot of voltage into the system while it was off

When you see a battery start to become puffy, drop everything you're doing and remove it asap. Because you left it in, you most likely damaged a lot of parts.

Li-I batteries are extremely dangerous. I hope you didn't throw it with the normal trash.

Open command prompt as admin and type sfc /scannow this will scan the OS for corruption.

Seeming as there were corrupt files I'm going to give you more cmds to run
Same as before, open cmd as admin

first run DISM /online /cleanup-image /AnalyzeComponentStore and let it finish
second, Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup, let it finish
third Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth, let it finish
and last, Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, after this one, restart your PC.
Make sure to run these in order, one at a time. They may appear to freeze. DO NOT close them. These can take a while.
