i am able to get into the recovery environment and when booting into safe mode it doesn't crash

#

but startup repair doesn't work and i have no restore points

#

i did sfc/scannow in safe mode and it said it found corrupted files and fixed them but rebooting didn't do anything

#

i tried the command prompt in the recovery environment and the same command did nothing

#

what do i do?

reinstall windows

copy all files to external drive and do a Fresh Start

aw man, i was really hoping it wouldn't come down to that -_- but if i have no other choice i guess that's what i'll do

total shot in the dark though, would updating my version of windows from 10 to 11 hypothetically fix anything because it's writing over all the potentially broken system files?

hey i did some "research" and found that someone with a similar problem reseated some stuff and had it fixed so i might try that first
