Need some help here. A couple of months ago I upgraded my SSD to a 2TB 980 pro. The last couple of weeks my pc disk checks every time I boot up.

I double checked the firmware and everything is up-to-date. I haven’t had these issues before I upgraded my SSD. Now recently, my pc has been crashing. It’s crashed twice the last hour. My cpu temps are 60-70

Any ideas? All signs are pointing towards RMA but I would love to not have to do that...

Based on your symptoms and "what has changed" you are most likely right about an RMA.
There are some bootable USB HDD health checkers you can run to be sure, but your symptoms are already pointing in that direction.

I used to use one from Hitachi for HDDs.
