#just swapped over to a new case and power supply and it won't turn on

Hopefully you just need to reseat the connections, but also make sure your mobo is on the little risers that keep it off the back plate of the case. That's a very easy mistake to make if you don't know to do it and will short the board.
All the standoffs are in, I checked all the connections to the motherboard, still no sign of life
Maybe try shorting the power pins to check for a faulty button?
I tried that too, no luck
I also tried the power supply in a different case with a different CPU and motherboard and it worked just fine
Strange, what case are you using?
Cooler master masterbox pro 5
So it's a standard power button, ok.
Yes
I imagine the motherboard is at fault then, might have shorted during the swap
I'm surprised it shorted, I was grounded wearing an esd strap, I was building on a Hardwood table on hardwood floors, so that's really surprising
Try booting it outside of the case to check if it's an internal issue
I tried that, on top of the motherboard box with two different power supplies
It's most likely dead then, id check for burn marks and go from there
I was looking for that or sodder joints that were broke but I couldn't find any, maybe it's under the motherboard power delivery sheild or something so that's why I couldn't see it
Shorts aren't always visible though. Sometimes it'll be as simple as an smd component being faulty
Dang, ok, would of it killed my ram, GPU, or CPU too?
Possibly, not very likely to happen
