if they have the same cl speeds and the same voltage, they should work. but from my quick search it looks like they dont have the same cl speeds:/

#

mushkin has 16-17-17-36 and the gskill one has 19-19-19-43

removing a cooler isnt too difficult

#

i mean like it definitely is a pain in the ass but not too hard

They will work, but they'll work at the higher cl latency since the sticks need to be in sync.

Your cpu will 'train' the ram when you first boot it after installing the new stick, it'll figure out a latency that works for both modules.

#

It's not ideal to have modules from different manufacturers and different latencies, but yes it will work.

^^^^ the same as others said, my friend got two mismatched sticks with the same specs and he can even turn on xmp so all good

basically, you double the memory bandwith with another stick, but you lose a little in latency. it depends on the application whether that's a benefit or a hinderance.

I'd say having two sticks in dual channel is worth the small penalty in latency.
