Basically, I've had this issue since I've had my old graphics card and HDD. When I open Nvidia Control Panel, it makes me accept the TOS every time, and when I venture to the 3D Settings-Adjust image settings with preview-I can only select the first option 'Let the 3d application decide', if I try to select any other and click apply, it auto reverts back to the first option. Its been persistent on all drivers and I'm in a dead-end, I'm hoping the solution is something silly I have just missed. Also my gpu is running at pcie 4.0 8x instead of pcie 4.0 16x, even though its in the 16x slot and no m.2 drive is interfering incase anyone has a solution for that.

My specs:
Rog Strx B550-F Gaming (wifi)
Geforce Rtx 3080
Ryzen 7 3700x 8 cores
T-Force 2tb SSD (boot)
32gb 3200 MHz RAM
1000w PSU
Ethernet(idk maybe this is useful)
3.6tb Seagate Portable SCSI Disk Device
I get good temps

Yeah the pci speed could be changed in bios

And probably is running pci 3 instead of 4

The most likelyculprit is your hdd

when youre looking at gpu pcie speed

did you look at it while running benchmark?
