Have you tried all 4 slots, if your mobo has 4?

#

@glacial kindle

#

Does that stick work in the other slot?

#

What mobo and cpu?

#

What ram?

#

What size kit?

#
#

this one?

#

ok

#

According to the Intel site, the cpu only supports DDR4-2400

#

2 sticks of DDR4-2666 is probably too much for it to handle

#

Forcing it to not post

#

Did you get the mobo new or used?

#

Where did you get if from?

#

ok

#

mobo supports 2400

#

Give me a bit, I need to go AFK

median grail
#

yes, it supports both

#

yeah

#

Time for an RMA

#

How long you had it?

#

Ohh, ok

#

Wait, have you tried just a stick on that slot?

median grail
#

possibly

There should be a little 2-pin header next to the header where the reset button and power button are plugged in

#

disconnect the power, press the power button to discharge any residual power, the use a small flathead screwdriver to short the 2 pins

#

@glacial kindle

#

Wym 5 minutes?

#

Manual says nothing about holding it there for 5 minutes

#

no

#

don't know where you got that info from

#

yeah, after unplugging the computer from wall power

#

Don't just turn the psu switch off

#

just connect the both of them with a small flathead screwdriver

#

Yeah

#

If this doesn't work, then its just a faulty board

#

That doesn't mean crap

#

I had a laptop yesterday that had the lights on it come on, but no boot

#

Mobo was dead

#

Both sticks of ram working?

#

Its the mobo

#

What happened?

#

k

#

No problem

If you just build the pc, you can also try reseating the cpu and check for bent pins. Might just be making bad contact somewhere?
