Monitor goes black sometimes while playing games

I do have g-sync enabled with a FreeSync 165hz monitor, but while playing Destiny 2 it blacks out for a few seconds sometimes. It doesn't do it on the desktop. I've done some google searching, and found that some people fared better after changing the freesync range for their monitor, when using gsync with a freesync monitor. My monitor is an Acer ‎VG240Y Sbiip
