#is using higher freq. ram advisable with lower freq. ram?

If you don't have an SSD, you should definitely get one. As for RAM, looks like more would be better. Check your laptops support site and find out what upgrades it supports.
Crucial could also help with that with their tool.
Im a little tight on money and can only buy one thing.... So SSD would be better?
Given this has 4GB of ram, I'm going to assume it's old and has a 2.5" HDD in it.
Getting a 2.5" SSD to replace it instantly makes it feel new again. A 500GB can be found for like $35-$50...I bought one a week ago on sale for $27 just because it was so cheap.
So Yes SSD, you could even get a cheap external enclosure to clone your current drive to the SSD unless Windows needs a fresh start anyway.
But I'd still check to see if your laptop has 2 sodium slots to get 8 or 16GB of RAM next.
I agree, I would get the SSD first, RAM later. 4gb is manageable
thank you for helping 🙏
if you don't have an ssd get one it really makes a night and day difference
can you please tell me how do i check if i have an extra slot or not? i can't find the information about my device in the manufacturer site
i don't remember the full name but i searched about it a while ago but didn't find mine but found related ones
acer aspire a515- something
i5 8250u 4gb 2400mhz ram and one more slot for ram don't know about storage slot
i have 1tb hdd and if i could use it with os in the ssd it would be nice
I don't believe any laptop has 2 slots for sata drives
best bet is to reinstall windows on new drive and transfer only needed data
could there be nvme m.2 slot?
