I’m looking to use a set of Logitech z607 surround sound speakers on my pc I would need a 5.1 surround sound card right? And if so what would a good budget card be?

This Asus Sound Card looks like a good deal compared to others like Soundblaster. But if you haven't, check your Motherboard first, I have a pretty low end MSI Z590 and it has 7.1 on the IO plus their site page brags a lot about their audio.

Does yours have one port or does it need multiple?

I might end up looking at that mother board to update

The card looks perfectly fine, not sure what chipset you're on & components but in my experience motherboard upgrades tend to spark even more upgrades lol

Yeah just grab a card, as long as they have 5.1 or better and a decent chip you'll be good.

Then start saving for the new board with built-in surround & DDR5.
