This Asus Sound Card looks like a good deal compared to others like Soundblaster. But if you haven't, check your Motherboard first, I have a pretty low end MSI Z590 and it has 7.1 on the IO plus their site page brags a lot about their audio.

I might end up looking at that mother board to update
The card looks perfectly fine, not sure what chipset you're on & components but in my experience motherboard upgrades tend to spark even more upgrades lol
Indeed I’m on a budget of $220 the mother board is out the window lol
Yeah just grab a card, as long as they have 5.1 or better and a decent chip you'll be good.
Then start saving for the new board with built-in surround & DDR5.
