Hey all, just need a bit of assistance.

Been having this problem for a couple months now, where my PC will crash, either BSOD with a large variety of issues or just restart unprompted (straight to BIOs splash screen). So far I have:

  • Reinstalled Windows (multiple times, different install medias)
  • Changed Motherboard
  • Changed SSD

Seen Errors include:

  • Memory Management
  • PFN List Corrupted
  • IRQL Less than or Equals to
  • SYSTEM ERROR
and a bunch more I cant remember

Specs:

  • R7 5900x
  • 4x16GB DDR4 3200MHz
  • RX6900xt
  • 850w Corsair RMx

However, with a bit of testing today, off some points I noticed. If I am gaming or have something "intensive" running (usually just any game), I experience no crashes. However, if my pc is near-idling, such as just watching Youtube, Lock Screen or running MC Server, then it will crash 9/10 times.

Any ideas? (Please @ me)

@rugged marsh This could be your RAM, as IRQL and Memory management both link to bad RAM

#

Also it'd make sense that idling is a problem is it's probably accessing the problem chip a lot more

I ran Memtest a couple months back (which took hours lmfao), and it came back with no errors

#

1 stick at a time

#

also happens whether XMP is on or off

Oh damn

64gb of memtest is not fun

That probably means it's either the CPU or GPU

#

Mayyybe the PSU but I doubt

rugged marsh

neither are cheap options

bronze mica

Nope

Which sucks

i just thought I would gather ideas, as Im running out of them myself

#

i think they still have the basic 1 year warranty on them, but its just the hassle

Yea, if your CPU has integrated graphics maybe try no GPU to see if it's that

rugged marsh
#

well maybe not the GPU as I got it from newegg

#

it doesnt unfortunately

Ah fair
