I recently purchased a Gigabyte B550M DS3H motherboard, unbeknownst to me I purchased the normal version of the motherboard rather than the Gigabyte B550M DS3H AC version which comes with built in wifi. I’m just curious as to if I will be able to use a usb adapter to give my device wifi straight out of the gate or if I’ll need to do a bunch more to make it work. I can’t use Ethernet because I’m upstairs and family doesn’t want running cords and we already have wifi extenders without the Ethernet port necessary.

Please help me out 🙏

Yeah, you can just buy one of the usb wifi adapters they sell at like best buy or amazon, you might need ethernet once to install drivers, but sometimes they include a drive or another offline method to deploy the necessary drivers without having to connect to the internet

alternatively, if you have a free PCI-e slot, you could get one of the baller high speed wifi adapters that support higher speeds/range
