PC1 (A) (2060 i312100f 16 GB Ram)
PC2 (B) (1650 Mobile i5 9300h 16 GB Ram)
Can A connect to B via CAT6/Ethernet and B stream to Youtube/Twitch using that? I was thinking A records onto an ssd, and B accesses that file live and can display it on OBS or something

I think you can create a local http stream on pc A and import that stream as a source in obs

#

But I think pc A has to do some encoding work too then

And you can createa a network shared folder on B to put the file directly on the laptop and skip using your gaming rig's drive while you game.

But can you access that file like it's a live stream?

but yeah, in both cases A would be doing encoding

#

I've no idea really, not familiar with obs

nvenc or qsv can help with that

I think typical two-pc setups are with split video outputs and one going to another machine that does encoding and streaming?

Yeah with a capture card

#

But I don't necessarily think this guy's issue is encoding performance, more having a second display, looking at his specs

If the laptop has a port for video input, I guess that'd work.

You mean like a built in capture card?

Split the output from the 2060, mirror the outputs, use the nvenc on the 1650 (it has one right?) to stream whatever comes in?

A hdmi output can't be used as an input, and I'm not sure if a 1650 has nvenc

#

it has an older version of nvenc, though for best quality, you probably want to stick to cpu encoding anyway
