The rest of the room is decorated but my family said my setup was an eyesore in the midst of all the Christmasy stuff.

By best advise to mitigate the "eyesore" aesthetic would be to get a 2 or 3 tier keyboard stand/rack, it clears soo much space!
I would align the desk with the center of the window
I would also be on the hunt for a bigger desk
Other than that pretty respectable
