did you plug the hdmi cable/whatever cable you use into the gpu instead of the motherboard?

If you are running multigraphics then the computer will automatically select the best GPU for the workload. Just plug in to your dedicated GPU and let it ride.
If you want that to stop, there should be a multigraphics setting in your BIOS.
