tried to install windows 10 pro using windows media creation tool and it only gives the option to install home and i installed home. i have a product key, just have to install 10 pro for it to work

if thats the case you might want to get a Winows Pro installation on your usb stick and not the home installation

The installer is detecting your embedded BIOS key most likely. You can install Windows 10 Home and then upgrade to Pro from the activation window in Settings and you should have zero issue.
A more technical option would be to modify your USB to allow for manually selecting your OS edition. I don't so that anymore as I use the NTSetup tool inside of StrelecPE to stage my Windows installations. I'll find the procedure and reply back
