should i upgrade my ram from 8gb ddr3 1333mhz dual channel to 16gb ddr3 1600mhz dual channel? i want to but i feel like i dont seriously need to yet, my laptop has an intel i7-3630qm, a 512gb SATA ssd, and an intel hd graphics 4000 igpu, i feel like the igpu is the biggest bottleneck for my laptop, should i just increase my ram or do something else with my money?

(no, my laptop doesnt have a usb-c port, let alone a thunderbolt one, so i cant use those thingies that make desktop gpus work with laptops)

can you not have ddr4 ram? i swear ddr3 is a couple years out of date

No because his motherboard only supports DDR3 memory with that CPU
