Hey, so I just got a new HDD disk and I've been having some problems with what I think is the power supply.
At first the disk just made a loud "beeping" sound every few seconds, so I just decided to swap the cables from the power supply, and it seems to be working mostly fine.
But since I swapped the cable with another HDD disk it seems like that older one is giving me problems, it also makes a similar "beep" sound but is much quieter and in much longer intervals, I don't seem to have any problems with it unless I'm actively using it (read: playing a game installed in that disk).
And I wanted to know if the problem could come from the disk, the cables conecting it to the power supply or the power supply itself (Current: 6.3A, Freq:50-60hz and Max power of 650W).

I've also tried running some tests on the problem disk with SeaTools and it isn't able to complete any test with it.

A hard drive will start beeping when the drive can't get enough power to the spindle motor so it could be your power supply but it's also a sign your HDD is dying

Hmmm... guess the HDD is fairly old, tho when I swap the cables between disks the other one also doesn't work

It's probably a bad cable then

That was kinda my first guess then
You can buy cables separetely instead of having to buy whole new power supply right?

Most cables aren't compatible between power supplies - I would try looking for cables made specificly for your PSU or I would try asking the manufacturer to send a cable (depending on the manufacturer results will very if they send you one or not)

At the end of the day it appears that the problem was the older disk and it just felt like breaking just when I got a new one lol

Thank you for your support anyways
