Hey, my power supply has been making a weird noise for a while, anyone know what the reason might be?
Powersupply is an EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2

Get a new PSU

#

I would never attempt to fix a PSU

#

Could be bearings on the motor for the fan. I would say to lay the PSU horizontally. Where the fan is looking left or right, instead of up or down. If the noise stops then, good indicator on what the problem is.

It only starts after a while of it running

#

and I wouldn't want to fix it, it's technically still inside the 10 year warranty

There ya go, get a replacement or get it fixed lmao

seeing how blowing into the fan makes the noise stop I guess the bearing is done for?

Possibly. Counteracting an inevitable force gravity by putting some resistance towards, is likely.

ah well, time to contact EVGA about it

#

thanks
